We thought it would be fun to bring you the December's Newsletter a bit early, packed with lots of juicy information just in time for your Holiday Shopping. 		BOUTIQUE CORNER This month we are featuring one of our very own members, Amy_H designer and owner of Loves Me Not Clothing. Amy's designs have become all the rage lately so we thought it would be nice to ask Amy a few questions about herself and LMN. Be sure to see our MIS Exclusive Offers Section below for a special offer from Amy & LMN!! Loves Me Not Clothing Where were you born? Denver, Colorado How many children do you have? I have 2 daughters, 7 and 4. What is your favorite brand of children's clothing (besides LMN)? It probably sounds weird saying this but besides my “threads” I like Matilda Jane, love Gymboree for my youngest and Naartjie. How did you get started designing children's clothing? After I had my first daughter she had some health issues so I decided to quit my 8 year career in Marketing and stay at home to care for her. I have always been a creative person and my husband bought me a machine one day and I loved it! That was 7 years ago and I have been sewing and designing ever since. I started on Ebay then moved to Etsy before launching my own website. What inspires you? I get inspiration from my girls and what they love to wear and fabrics inspire me also. I see one that I like and once I get it in my hands I will look at it for a few days and then the design comes to me. I also love to take different design elements from different patterns and make an entirely new one. What is the most challenging part of your business? Right now I would say juggling the job of several people. Since I am new and still relatively small I don’t have hired help. So I do the purchasing, designing, sample sewing, website, shipping, emails, customer service, exchanges...I will stop at that . So I know I should be working on Spring but yet I need to be on top of emails or I will get behind. It is also a challenge because I work at home and yeah it gets messy. I don’t like to look at misplaced things and it drives me nuts to see the clothes and boxes everywhere. My Dining Room has transformed into my office, who can say they have a chandelier in their office? What do you love about it? I love creating something from a piece of fabric and designing an outfit and seeing the end result on my little customers wearing it. Tickles me to see the photos I get and how much they enjoy it. What are your plans for growth? Right now that is up in the air. I plan on expanding into home shows but need to get a program in place. It is in the works and I want to be sure it is a good fit for me and the consultants that would like to join. Spring will be sold online again and I may have the Consultant program ready then too. Can you give us any hints or clues of what we can expect to see in the spring line? I can tell you to expect more knits. I love them and so do my girls and I am hearing from all of you that you do as well. Biggest challenge for me at this point is finding some prints as I get a little bit bored with solids. So expect some more knits with lots of girly touches!
